GOL began servicing passengers Brazil in 2001 and issued shares to the public in 2004. By 2005 GOL was the first Brazilian airline to service all of Brazil’s state capitals. 60% owned by the Cosentino family and 9.5% owned by Delta Airlines (DAL), GOL represents 35% market share of Brazilian airlines and is the only pure-play publicly listed Brazilian airline. As of 9/30/2016 the Company operated 135 Boeing 737 aircraft with an average age of 8.0 years. GOL also has 120 firm aircraft acquisition orders for fleet renewal by 2027. In 2016, GOL was ranked Brazil's most punctual airline.
